Understanding the common causes of anaemia in cats - and how to reach a definitive diagnosis and implement effective treatment - is key to improving clinical outcomes. Following her In Practice article on diagnosing and managing this condition, Dr Emi Barker, RCVS and EBVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine, invites you to join this CPD webinar to develop your understanding of this condition.

This session will explore the most common causes of anaemia in cats, and how to reach a definitive diagnosis.

What you’ll gain from this session:

  • a clear understanding of the pathomechanisms of feline anaemia

  • the ability to recognise key clinical signs that may be associated with anaemia

  • confidence in characterising anaemia based on bone marrow response

  • a structured approach to differential diagnoses across anaemia types

  • practical strategies to formulate an effective investigation plan

  • the ability to determine whether a cat would likely benefit from a blood transfusion.
