Speaker: Ian Futter, Clinical Skills Instructor and Assessor at University of Glasgow

This two-part webinar series is aimed at veterinary surgeons in their first eight years of practice who want to enhance their clinical decision-making with a pragmatic, patient-centred approach.

Contextualised veterinary care is an approach that recognises each patient and client as unique and that there are different ways to approach the diagnosis and treatment of a pet. It is about striking a balance between the animal, owner and practice factors.

Across the two sessions, you will:

  • Refine your understanding of contextualised care and its core principles.
  • Explore challenges to delivering care in context through real-world examples.
  • Build confidence to apply these approaches in everyday practice.

Details:

  • First session at 7.30pm - 9pm, Thursday 16 October.
  • Second session at 7.30pm - 9pm, Thursday 30 October
  • Both sessions will be hosted on Zoom

These sessions are interactive and invite participants to reflect on contextualised care in their own words, before moving onto practical strategies and case discussions that you can directly apply in your work.
