About the session

As potential reforms of veterinary legislation take shape, one of the biggest questions is what governance of the professions might look like – and what this will mean for the RCVS, vets, vet nurses and the wider veterinary team.

Join us at 7pm, Thursday 30 October for the third and final webinar in our three-part series with BVA President Rob Williams and BVA Senior Vice President Liz Mullineaux, plus a special guest RCVS President Tim Parkin.

Together, they’ll explore:

  • What governance of the profession might look like under a reformed Veterinary Surgeons Act
  • What the pros and cons of different governance models might be
  • What these changes could mean for vet teams in practice

The session will finish with our final live Q&A of the series, giving you one last chance to put your questions directly to the speakers.

These webinars are aimed at vets - BVA members and non-members - but others, including veterinary nurses, are welcome to join.

Speakers
  • BVA President Rob Williams
  • BVA Senior Vice President Liz Mullineaux
  • RCVS President Tim Parkin

A recording of this session will be made available to BVA members in our CPD library following the event.

Recording available: Reforming the Veterinary Surgeons Act: how is veterinary surgery regulated, what needs to change and why?

Catch up with session one from this series in our CPD library (member-only). During the recording, we cover what it will mean for vet teams in practice and elsewhere, and how you can influence what legislative reform might look like ahead of a Defra public consultation, hopefully later this year.
