A webinar from the Raising the Bar series from Great Workplaces by BVA and ManyPets.

Join us to demystify flexible working, show how it can work in vet settings, and give teams a shared language and framework to approach it fairly.

We will start with a general discussion about flexible working and why it should be embraced, not feared, then lead into a fun conversation with Lyndsay Hughes who has a wealth of experience making flexible working work for her and her teams. A Q&A at the end will round off the event.

Learning Outcomes

After this CPD session you will be able to:

  1. Explain what flexible working can realistically look like in veterinary teams, including how different types of flexibility may apply across clinical and non-clinical roles.
  2. Discuss and judge flexible working requests fairly and consistently, balancing individual needs, reasonable adjustments, and the operational needs of the wider team (we won’t delve into the legal/HR side of things, but can nod to it and also highlight our resource that covers where to find info).
  3. Confidently initiate or participate in constructive conversations about flexible working, using clear language, shared expectations, and trial-based approaches to support sustainability for both individuals and practices.
